Join a tertiary acute care hospital in Minneapolis, MN, to provide CRNA coverage on a locum tenens basis. You’ll be working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, delivering anesthesia care within a supervised care-team model and supporting a high-acuity, specialized case mix.

Schedule & Assignment

• Coverage begins May 11, 2026 and continues on an ongoing basis.
• Initial contract is 4 months with the potential to extend.
• Minimum commitment: 36 hours per week and at least two consecutive weeks per month for the first three months.
• Shift options: 8-, 10-, 12-, and 16-hour clinical shifts, typically starting at 6:30 a.m.
• Optional beeper call: weeknight and Saturday coverage available.
• Call type: beeper.

Patients & Case Mix

• Patient population: adolescents (12+), adults, and geriatrics.
• Case volume: FTE-level coverage supporting specialized tertiary anesthesia cases.

Facility & Support

• Tertiary acute care hospital with Level III trauma designation.
• Fully equipped anesthesia department; Epic EMR.
• Strong specialty and surgical backup with a care-team model ratio of 4:1 and a 24-hour anesthesia aide department.
• Reason for coverage: supplemental staffing support.

Clinical Expectations

• Provide general anesthesia care within the care-team model for specialized tertiary cases.
• No blocks, arterial lines, epidurals, or spinals required.
• Support OR coverage for scheduled shifts and collaborate with anesthesia aides and surgical teams to optimize room turnover.
• Optional participation in beeper call if desired.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and adhere to hospital credentialing standards.

Credentials & Requirements

• Active Minnesota RN and CRNA licenses required.
• NBCRNA certification.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum one year of CRNA experience.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
• DEA not required.

Privileges, Credentialing & Logistics

• Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges are not available.
• Typical credentialing timeline: 90–120 days.
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
