Locum Tenens Physician Assistant — Neurosurgery (Cape Coral, FL)

We’re seeking a Physician Assistant to join a neurosurgery team in Cape Coral, FL, on a locum tenens basis. This is a full-time clinical role covering both inpatient and outpatient settings from ASAP through December 31, 2026.

Schedule and Coverage

• Ambulatory clinic: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm
• Inpatient shifts: 8–10 hour shifts as scheduled
• Full-time coverage for the contract period

Patients and Clinical Scope

• Adult patient population
• Responsibilities include admissions, daily rounding, post-operative care, and general inpatient neurosurgical management
• Support for the ambulatory neurosurgery clinic and continuity of care across settings

Facility and Support

• Hospital-based clinical resources and multidisciplinary staff available
• Specialty backup provided by the neurosurgery service
• Position needed as supplemental coverage for the department

Privileges, Compliance, and Required Procedures

• Hospital privileges required
• Primary duties: neurosurgical inpatient support, ambulatory clinic coverage, and post-operative/inpatient patient management
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and meet all compliance requirements

Qualifications

• Active Florida Physician Assistant license
• NCCPA certification
• BLS and NICA (2026) certifications current
• Neurosurgery experience required
• Required documentation: updated CV without gaps, LEE Attestation Form, NPDB report within 3 months, and primary-sourced case logs for the past 12 months

What you’ll do day-to-day

• Provide hands-on neurosurgical support in both clinic and inpatient settings
• Assist with admissions, rounding, and post-op care
• Collaborate closely with neurosurgeons, nursing, and hospital staff to ensure seamless patient care
