Join a fast-paced ambulatory surgery team in State College, PA — a contract/travel opportunity with day shifts and an ASAP start. This role is ideal for a registered nurse who enjoys hands-on surgical care and patient education. The assignment is 40 hours/week with a rate of $2,144 per 40 hours.

What you’ll bring

• Active RN license for Pennsylvania
• 1–3 years of surgical or perioperative experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS a plus
• Strong assessment skills and clear communication with patients, families, and the surgical team

What you’ll do

• Prepare patients for surgery by taking vitals, reviewing medical history, and verifying consent
• Support the surgical team as either a scrub or circulating nurse during procedures
• Monitor patients in the PACU and manage recovery until discharge criteria are met
• Provide clear post-op teaching and instructions to patients and families
• Keep accurate documentation and follow safety and infection-control practices
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education
