We’re looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a busy emergency department in Corvallis, OR on a contract/travel basis. This role supports the ED Nurse Manager by helping keep day-to-day operations running smoothly, ensuring excellent patient care, and serving as a clinical resource and mentor for the team. The position offers varied shifts and starts ASAP. Pay: $2,844/40-hours.

What you’ll do

• Partner with the ED Nurse Manager to manage daily department operations.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and patient flow to keep the department efficient.
• Act as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff; provide guidance during complex situations.
• Support performance evaluations, staff development, and training initiatives.
• Monitor quality metrics and lead or participate in improvement projects.
• Ensure patient care is safe, high-quality, and meets regulatory standards.
• Address patient care issues and operational concerns in collaboration with physicians and leadership.

What we’re looking for

• Active RN license (Oregon or compact where applicable).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred.
• Several years of emergency department experience.
• Prior leadership or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
