Requirements:

• Active California RN license
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN required; MSN preferred)
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
• Several years of Emergency Department clinical experience
• Prior leadership or management experience preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily Emergency Department operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance
• Manage staffing and scheduling; conduct performance evaluations and support staff development
• Monitor and optimize patient flow, throughput, and departmental performance metrics
• Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Serve as clinical leader and resource for ED staff; provide guidance during high-acuity events
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership on clinical and operational issues
• Manage departmental budget, supplies, and resource allocation
