Outpatient General Medicine NP — Colby, KS (Weekend-Friendly, Travel/Lodging Covered, METs/Goniometer Skills)

Location: Colby, KS — Outpatient
Coverage: Supplemental; ASAP – ongoing; clinical only
Service: Compensation & Pension Exams and Separation Health Assessments (one-time, non-treatment)

Schedule:

• As-needed basis, up to 4 days/week
• Shift lengths: half day (4 hrs) or full day (8 hrs)
• Weekends accepted but not required

Key Duties:

• Conduct primarily interview-based C&P exams with some focused physical assessments (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, goniometer use required)
• Perform METs testing
• Evaluate and diagnose musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrine (diabetes), and neurological conditions as relevant to disability exams
• Complete evaluations in VES provider portal; review medical records as required
• Complete follow-up administrative work regularly (addenda, medical opinions, diagnostic reading) — unpaid outside of half/full day rate
• No prescribing or treatment responsibilities

Training and Support:

• Training provided for Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered

Acceptable Backgrounds:

• General Medicine NP preferred; will accept FM, IM, Orthopedic Surgery, or clinicians with general medicine or C&P experience

Required Qualifications:

• Active Kansas NP license
• AANP certification
• DMA certification
• Proficient in METs testing and in evaluating/diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
• Own laptop (Windows; no Apple/Mac)
• Home or office within 50 miles of facility
• Self-query NPDB (pulled within 30 days)
• ECFMG certificate copy if educated outside the U.S.

Compensation:

• Paid per half/full day for exam sessions; administrative work outside exam time is unpaid
