Join a team providing supplemental outpatient general medicine coverage across Burlington and Rutland, VT. You’ll be asked to perform clinical-only exams—mostly interview-based with some physical assessments—to support Compensation & Pension Exams and Separation Health Assessments on a PRN basis.
What you’ll do
- Conduct structured, interview-focused medical examinations with limited physical assessment
- Perform range-of-motion and muscle strength testing
- Complete METs testing and evaluate/diagnose respiratory and cardiovascular conditions as needed
- Provide clinical documentation—no prescribing or treatment
- Work independently using your own laptop (no Apple/Mac devices)
Schedule and locations
- Coverage: ASAP through ongoing
- PRN (as-needed); shifts can be half-day (≤4 hours) or full-day (4–8 hours)
- Weekends accepted but not required
- Burlington: roughly 1 day/week within a 100-mile radius
- Rutland: roughly 2 days/week within a 50-mile radius
- Must reside within 50 miles of the assigned location
Compensation and support
- Clinical-only coverage
- Malpractice insurance provided
Minimum requirements
- Active Vermont medical license
- Board certified
- DMA certification (or willingness to obtain)
- NPDB report
- Personal laptop (Windows or non-Apple device)
- Demonstrated proficiency with METs testing and evaluation/diagnosis of respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
