PRN General Medicine Physician — Outpatient Disability & Separation Exams (Uvalde/Ft. Davis, TX)

We’re looking for a General Medicine provider to support outpatient coverage in Uvalde and Fort Davis, TX on a PRN basis. This role is supplemental—ASAP start and ongoing—and focuses on clinical assessments only (no treatment or prescribing).

What you’ll do

• Conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with some focused physical assessment (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, METs testing).
• Evaluate and diagnose respiratory and cardiovascular conditions as part of assessments.
• Work varied shifts as needed: half days (up to 4 hours), full days (4–8 hours), and occasional weekends (accepted but not required).

Requirements

• Active Texas medical license.
• Board certified.
• DMA certification or willing to obtain.
• Must have your own private office.
• Own personal laptop (PC only — no Macs/Apple).
• Proficient with METs testing and evaluation of respiratory and cardiovascular systems.
• Must be located within 50 miles of the site.
• NPDB report required.

• Malpractice insurance is covered.
• Coverage is clinical only; no prescribing or treatment responsibilities.
