We’re seeking a General Medicine clinician to provide supplemental outpatient coverage in Warwick, RI. This is an as-needed (PRN) clinical role starting ASAP and continuing on an ongoing basis. You’ll be performing primarily interview-based compensation and pension exams and separation health assessments; some focused physical assessments (range of motion, muscle strength testing) are required. Note: no prescribing or treatment is involved.
What the schedule looks like
- PRN (as-needed) shifts
- Half-day (≤4 hours) and full-day (4–8 hours) options
- Weekends can be accommodated but are not required
What you’ll do
- Conduct Compensation & Pension Exams and Separation Health Assessments
- Focus on patient interviews and targeted physical exams (ROM and strength testing)
- Evaluate and diagnose respiratory and cardiovascular issues when relevant
- Document findings; no procedures, prescribing, or longitudinal treatment

Minimum requirements
- Active Rhode Island medical license
- Board certified (BC)
- Located within 50 miles of Warwick, RI
- Own laptop for documentation (PC only — no Macs/Apple)
- Personal office space to conduct assessments
- DMA certification or willingness to obtain it
- Proficient in METs testing and in evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
- NPDB report available
