Join a team providing outpatient general medicine coverage across Anson, Houlton, Bangor, and Scarborough, Maine. This PRN role supports Compensation & Pension Exams and Separation Health Assessments on a supplemental, ongoing basis (ASAP start). Shifts vary: half-day (≤4 hrs), full-day (4–8 hrs), or weekends as needed.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct interview-focused clinical exams with selective physical assessments (range of motion, muscle strength testing).
- Perform METs testing and evaluate respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- No prescribing or treatment expected.
Typical schedule (weekly)
- North Anson: 2 days/week
- Bangor: 2 days/week
- Houlton: 1 day/week
- Scarborough: 1 day/week
Compensation and logistics
- Clinical-only coverage
- Malpractice insurance provided
- Provider must use their own office and personal laptop (no Apple/Mac devices)
Required qualifications
- Active Maine license
- Board certification
- DMA certification or willingness to obtain
- NPDB report
- Residency within 50 miles of assigned location
- Proficiency in METs testing and in diagnosing/evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
