PRN General Medicine Physician (Outpatient) — Fort Polk, LA (Fort Johnson South Area)

Seeking a licensed General Medicine provider to support outpatient clinical coverage at Fort Johnson South, LA. This is supplemental, PRN coverage starting ASAP and continuing on an ongoing basis. Assignments include half-day or full-day shifts (4 hours or less, or 4–8 hours) with occasional weekend availability preferred but not required. Typical on-site commitment is approximately 2 days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments.
• Perform primarily interview-based evaluations with focused physical assessments as needed (range-of-motion and muscle-strength testing).
• Document findings and complete required exam reports. No prescribing or treatment responsibilities.

Logistics and benefits

• Malpractice insurance provided.
• Clinical-only role; provider supplies own office and personal laptop (PC only; no Macs/Apple).
• Must reside within 50 miles of Fort Johnson South.

Required qualifications

• Active Louisiana medical license.
• Board Certified.
• DMA certification (current) or willingness to obtain.
• Proficiency in METs testing and in evaluating/diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
• NPDB report required.
