Travel RN — Med-Surg/Orthopedics (Lawton, OK)

Join a Lawton, OK facility as a contract Registered Nurse specializing in Med-Surg/Orthopedics. This day-shift position (7a–7p) starts ASAP and offers $1,930 for a 36-hour week.

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state-specific or compact, as applicable)
• Minimum of 1 year recent Med-Surg and/or Orthopedic nursing experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred

Key responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Provide post-operative and orthopedic care, including joint replacement recovery
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and ordered treatments
• Monitor vitals, pain, wound status, and neurovascular integrity
• Assist with mobility, ambulation, and use of assistive devices
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, mobility restrictions, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and the interdisciplinary team
• Recognize and escalate changes in patient condition promptly
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
