Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) — Long Term Care, Las Cruces, NM (14-week Contract)

Contract travel opportunity in Las Cruces, NM — start ASAP for 14 weeks. Schedule: 06:00 AM–06:30 PM. Rate: Travel $1,523/36-hours.

Requirements:

• Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
• BLS certification

Overview:
Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care under RN or physician supervision. Deliver accurate treatments, monitor patient status, document care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform focused patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and assist in developing individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders, maintaining accurate dosing and documentation
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in condition; escalate concerns appropriately
• Manage wound care, dressings, and incision care; observe for signs of infection or complications
• Start, maintain, and monitor IV therapy and urinary catheters as indicated; collect specimens for lab testing
• Provide basic emergency response and BLS when required
• Support patient comfort, mobility, pain management, and safety needs
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care practices
• Follow infection control practices, safe medication handling, and regulatory guidelines
• Advocate for patients and contribute to health promotion activities such as vaccinations and screenings
• Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned
• Maintain professional development and comply with facility policies
• Other duties as assigned by management
