Schedule: 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
Rate: Local: $1,216 / 40 hours

Requirements:

  • Active LPN license in the state of North Carolina
  • BLS certification

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, and basic treatments.
  • Conduct patient assessments (physical exams, medical history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately per protocol.
  • Perform wound care: evaluate, clean, dress wounds/incisions, and monitor for infection or complications.
  • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition.
  • Accurately maintain patient records: treatments, medication administration, and clinical notes.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, self-care, and preventive measures.
  • Manage IV therapy as allowed by facility policy: administer IV medications/fluids, monitor lines and infusion sites.
  • Provide urinary catheter care: insertion (if within scope), maintenance, and complication monitoring.
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
  • Assist with patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management.
  • Respond to emergencies following protocols and provide basic life support as needed.
  • Follow infection control practices and proper use of PPE.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies according to regulations.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
  • Advocate for patient rights and communicate needs within the care team.
  • May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned.
  • Maintain professional competencies through ongoing education and training.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
