Schedule: 06:45 AM–07:15 PM
Rate: Local $1,098 / 36 hours

Minimum qualifications:

  • Active, valid LPN license for the State of Maine
  • BLS certification

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction (medication administration, wound care, vital signs).
  • Perform focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and per protocol.
  • Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds and surgical sites for complications or infection.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and changes in patient condition.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records, including treatments and medication administration.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive measures.
  • Initiate and monitor IV therapy and IV medications as permitted by facility policy.
  • Provide urinary catheter care (insertion if within scope, maintenance, monitoring).
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.
  • Assist with patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management.
  • Respond to emergencies following facility protocols and provide basic life support as needed.
  • Follow infection control practices and proper use of PPE.
  • Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
  • Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.

Working conditions: Clinical setting with direct patient contact; must comply with facility policies and continuing education requirements.
