LPN/LVN - Long Term Care | 11-Week Contract, Rochester NH, Evenings (3pm-11pm)

We’re looking for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join a Rochester, NH team on a contract (non-travel) assignment starting ASAP for 11 weeks. This role follows a consistent evening schedule: Sun, Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat | 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Compensation: Local rate $1,548/40 hours.

What we need from you:

• Active, valid LPN license for the state.
• Current BLS certification.

What you’ll do:
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians, focusing on safe, patient-centered practice. Typical duties include medication administration, wound care, IV care, catheter care, and routine monitoring of vitals. You’ll perform focused assessments, document changes in condition, and help develop and follow individualized care plans. Expect to collect lab specimens, assist with mobility and comfort measures, and educate patients and families about conditions and self-care.

You’ll also:

• Administer and monitor prescribed meds and treatments, ensuring accurate dosing and adherence to protocols.
• Assess and manage wounds, watching for signs of infection or complications.
• Insert and manage IV lines and monitor IV therapy.
• Handle urinary catheter care and monitor for related issues.
• Record vital signs and maintain precise, timely documentation.
• Participate in emergency response and provide basic life support as needed.
• Follow infection control practices and safely handle medications and supplies.
• Advocate for patients’ needs and collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
• Promote preventive health measures and support patient education.
• Supervise CNAs or assistive personnel when required.
• Stay current through ongoing training and any other duties assigned by management.
