We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The LPN will work under the supervision of RNs and physicians to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing services.

Requirements:

• Active LPN license in the state of Maine
• BLS certification

Key responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on nursing care including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and routine assessments.
• Perform focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans.
• Monitor and document vital signs, changes in condition, treatments, and medication administration accurately and timely.
• Manage wound care: assess, clean, dress, and monitor for infection or complications.
• Administer and monitor IV medications and fluids; ensure proper line function and site care.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing as required.
• Assist with patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management; respond to patient needs promptly.
• Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive measures.
• Follow infection control protocols and safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies.
• Participate in emergency response, delivering basic life support and following facility protocols.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (RNs, physicians, therapists, support staff) to coordinate care.
• Advocate for patient rights and ensure appropriate care and resources are provided.
• Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned.
• Maintain professional competence through ongoing education and comply with regulatory and facility policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
