LPN/LVN Night Shift – 13‑Week Travel Contract in Clovis, NM | $1,523/36‑hrs, Long‑Term Care

Minimum Requirements

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license
• BLS certification

Core Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, ADL assistance.
• Conduct patient assessments: physical exams, medical history, medication review; contribute to individualized care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and per protocol.
• Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds/incisions for signs of infection or complications.
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records of treatments, medications, and condition changes.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive measures.
• Initiate, monitor, and maintain IV therapy and urinary catheter care as required.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for laboratory testing.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care.
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.
• Follow infection control, PPE use, and safe handling/disposal of medications and supplies.
• Promote patient advocacy and support patient rights.
• Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when delegated.
• Participate in ongoing education to maintain competency.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
