Key qualifications

• Active RN license in the practicing state
• Perioperative or surgical nursing experience preferred
• BLS required; CNOR or other perioperative certifications preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, organizational ability, and communication skills

Core responsibilities

• Prepare patients and the operating room for scheduled procedures, ensuring equipment and supplies are ready
• Serve as the circulating nurse: monitor patient status, assist the surgical team, and maintain aseptic technique throughout cases
• Administer medications as ordered and accurately document care, intraoperative events, and patient outcomes
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding pre- and post-operative care
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR personnel to promote safe, efficient surgical care
