Requirements
- Active RN license in the practicing state
- PACU, post-anesthesia, or perioperative nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- BLS required; ACLS or PALS preferred
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor airway, vital signs, neurologic status, and overall condition immediately post-procedure
- Administer medications and manage pain and other prescribed interventions
- Identify, escalate, and intervene for changes in patient condition or complications
- Provide patient and family teaching regarding post-procedure care and discharge instructions
- Accurately document care and communicate/collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams
