LPN/LVN Travel Contract – Long-Term Care Nights in Santa Fe, NM (10‑Week, $1,523/36h)

Schedule: Mon–Wed, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM | Rate: Travel $1,523/36 hours

Join a patient-centered team as a Licensed Practical Nurse providing direct bedside care and supporting RNs and physicians in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will deliver skilled nursing interventions, assist with assessments, and help maintain high standards of safety, documentation, and patient education.

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered LPN license for the practicing state
• BLS certification

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care: medication administration, wound care, IV and catheter management, and monitoring of vital signs
• Conduct focused patient assessments, gather medical histories, and participate in developing individualized care plans
• Administer and monitor IV fluids/medications; ensure proper line insertion and function
• Evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor wounds for signs of infection or complications
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) and document results as required
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records of condition changes, treatments, and medications
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures
• Assist with mobility, positioning, pain management, and other comfort needs
• Respond effectively to emergencies and provide basic life support per protocol
• Adhere to infection control, PPE use, safe medication handling, and disposal practices
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care
• May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when applicable
• Participate in ongoing education to remain current with nursing practices and regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
