Overview:
Provide perioperative and post-anesthesia care in a surgical setting. Ensure patient safety, monitor recovery from anesthesia, and collaborate with the perioperative team.

Requirements:

• Active RN license in practicing state
• Perioperative/PACU or surgical nursing experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• CNOR certification a plus
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients and OR for surgery; maintain sterile technique and perioperative standards
• Monitor patients in PACU: assess vital signs, airway, pain level, consciousness, and recovery from anesthesia
• Administer medications and interventions per orders; manage postoperative complications
• Provide patient and family education on post-op care and discharge instructions
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient status accurately and timely
• Communicate and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to coordinate care
