We’re seeking a dependable Licensed Practical Nurse to join a Bedford, NH team on a 9-week contract starting ASAP. This is a local, non-travel position with a day shift schedule (07:00 AM–03:30 PM) and a rate of $1,400 per 40-hour week.

What you’ll need

  • Active, valid LPN license for the state
  • BLS certification

What you’ll do
You’ll provide hands-on nursing care under the direction of RNs and physicians, using your clinical skills to keep patients comfortable, safe, and well-informed. Typical duties include:

  • Conduct patient assessments (vitals, focused physical exams, medical history and medication reviews) to help develop individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and in line with protocols
  • Perform wound care: evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor for infection or complications
  • Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition
  • Maintain clear, timely medical records including treatments and medication administration
  • Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care strategies
  • Manage IV therapy and urinary catheter care when required, including insertion, maintenance, and complication monitoring
  • Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing
  • Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support as needed
  • Follow strict infection control practices and proper use of PPE
  • Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies safely and according to regulations
  • Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and support health assessments
  • Advocate for patients’ rights and coordinate with the care team—RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff—for seamless patient care
  • Occasionally supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel to ensure quality care
  • Stay up to date with nursing best practices and required training
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
