Contract LPN/LVN – Long Term Care (Lewiston, ME)

We’re seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a Lewiston, ME team on a 9-week contract starting ASAP. This is a local (non-travel) role with a scheduled shift of 06:45 AM–07:15 PM. Pay is $1,120 for 36 hours.

What we need from you

• Active, valid LPN license for your state
• Current BLS certification

What you’ll be doing
You’ll provide direct patient care under the direction of RNs and physicians—think medication administration, wound care, IV and catheter management, vital signs monitoring, and routine assessments. You’ll document changes in condition, maintain accurate records, and follow medication and infection-control protocols. Patient and family education on conditions, meds, and self-care will be part of your day, as will collaborating with the care team (nurses, physicians, therapists, support staff) to coordinate care.

Other typical duties include collecting specimens (blood, urine, sputum), supporting patient comfort and mobility, responding to emergencies using established protocols, safely handling and disposing of meds and supplies, and promoting preventive care like vaccinations and screenings. You may also supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when needed. Ongoing professional development and other duties assigned by management are expected.
