Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- BLS certification required; OCN preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience; oncology or outpatient clinic experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
- Knowledge of radiation therapy processes and symptom management preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients receiving radiation therapy.
- Monitor and manage treatment-related side effects and symptoms.
- Administer medications and supportive therapies as ordered.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, side effects, and self-care.
- Coordinate care with radiation oncologists, physicists, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and clinic policies.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
