Registered Nurse Unit Manager (Contract) — Scarborough, ME

We’re looking for an experienced RN to step into a Nurse Unit Manager role in Scarborough, ME. This is a 14-week contract (non-travel) starting ASAP. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, and the pay is $2,360 for a 40-hour week.

What we need from you:

• Active, valid Registered Nurse license for the state.
• Previous nursing leadership or management experience.
• Current BLS certification.

What you’ll do day-to-day:

• Lead and support the nursing team (RNs, LPNs, CNAs), making sure policies are followed and care is consistent.
• Oversee patient care activities — assessments, medication administration, documentation — and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Help create efficient staffing and schedules to meet patient needs.
• Mentor and educate staff to encourage professional growth and best practices.
• Monitor quality and compliance, run audits, and drive improvements.
• Serve as a communication hub for the care team to coordinate patient care smoothly.
• Advocate for patients, handle concerns, and promote a patient-centered approach.
• Respond to medical emergencies according to established protocols.
• Ensure accurate, timely electronic health record documentation.
• Stay current with healthcare regulations and help the team remain compliant.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
