Required credentials and skills:
- Active RN license in practicing state
- BLS and NRP required; ACLS preferred
- Experience in labor & delivery, postpartum, or obstetrics preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient-education skills
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor and delivery
- Provide labor support, assist with delivery, and perform postpartum care
- Administer medications and required interventions; perform postpartum assessments
- Educate mothers and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery
- Accurately document care and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
