Rate: Travel: $2,648/40 hrs; Local: $2,608/40 hrs

Requirements:

• Active, valid Speech-Language Pathologist state license.

Primary responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
• Determine diagnoses and severity levels; develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapy for articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and cognitive-communication.
• Evaluate and treat dysphagia; implement and teach safe swallowing strategies.
• Recommend, train on, and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as needed.
• Educate patients and families on therapy techniques, home programs, and carryover strategies.
• Monitor, document, and report patient progress; revise plans of care as indicated.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other members of the care team to coordinate services.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Facilitate generalization of communication skills to daily living, school, or work settings.
• Participate in professional development to maintain clinical competency.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
