Overview:
Seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver client-centered care in Silver Spring. The role involves evaluating functional abilities, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to maximize patients’ independence and community/work reintegration.

Required Qualifications:

• Active, valid Occupational Therapy state license
• CPR and BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross with AED)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ physical, cognitive, and environmental factors to identify limitations and set measurable goals
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and healthcare teams
• Use a range of therapeutic techniques to improve activities of daily living, functional mobility, and independence
• Recommend, train in, and fit adaptive equipment and assistive devices
• Teach and practice daily living skills with patients and caregivers
• Provide education and strategies to support self-management and independence for patients and families
• Monitor, document, and update patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records, including evaluations and progress notes
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive treatment
• Support patients’ transition back to community and work settings
• Pursue ongoing professional development and stay current with evidence-based practices
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
