Contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) — Lanham, MD — 14-Week Travel Position

We’re looking for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join a team in Lanham, MD on a 14-week contract/travel assignment starting ASAP. This role follows a consistent schedule (Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM) and offers competitive pay: Travel rate $1,876/35 hours; Local rate $1,848/35 hours.

What you’ll do

• Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing function.
• Use clinical evaluations and diagnostic testing to identify the type and severity of communication disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient’s needs and goals.
• Provide therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language.
• Evaluate and manage dysphagia, teaching safe swallowing strategies and interventions.
• Recommend and train patients and families on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) when appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and strategies to support carryover into daily life, school, or work.
• Monitor and document progress regularly, adjusting plans as needed to achieve outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records including assessments, plans, and progress notes.
• Stay current with best practices and professional development in speech-language pathology.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Active, valid state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
