Join a 13-week contract in Chambersburg, PA as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time assignment begins ASAP with a consistent schedule: Sun–Sat, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel: $1,995/35 hours; Local: $1,967/35 hours.

Requirements:

  • Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state license.

Role overview:
Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. You will diagnose conditions through clinical assessment and diagnostic testing, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapy to improve articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive language, and swallowing safety. When appropriate, recommend and support use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and determine type/severity of communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Create and implement tailored treatment plans with measurable goals.
  • Deliver direct therapy to address speech, language, voice, fluency, cognition-communication, and dysphagia.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies, exercises, and safe swallowing practices.
  • Recommend, train, and troubleshoot AAC solutions as needed.
  • Monitor, document, and adjust treatment based on ongoing progress and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate, timely patient records including evaluations, plans, and progress notes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.
  • Facilitate transfer of communication skills to everyday settings (home, school, work).
  • Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
