Contract Occupational Therapist (OT) — 13-Week Travel Position, Carmichael CA

Rate: Travel $2,308/36 hrs; Local $2,275/36 hrs

Requirements:

• Current, active Occupational Therapy state license
• CPR and BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross, with AED)

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ physical, cognitive, and environmental factors to identify limitations and establish measurable goals
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary team
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, and independence
• Recommend, fit, and train patients on adaptive equipment and assistive devices
• Instruct and practice ADLs, energy conservation, and compensatory strategies with patients
• Educate patients and families on condition management and independence techniques
• Monitor, document, and revise treatment plans based on patient progress and outcomes
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members for comprehensive discharge and community/work reintegration
• Maintain accurate evaluations, progress notes, and other required documentation
• Stay current with occupational therapy best practices and complete required professional development
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
