Rate: Travel: $2,244 / 35 hrs; Local: $2,212 / 35 hrs
Requirements
- Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state license.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Diagnose types and severity using clinical evaluations and diagnostic tools.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
- Provide direct therapy targeting articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language.
- Evaluate and treat dysphagia; implement safe swallowing strategies.
- Recommend and train patients/families on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as needed.
- Educate patients and families on home programs, strategies, and carryover activities.
- Monitor, document, and revise treatment plans based on patient progress.
- Maintain accurate, timely patient records (assessments, plans, progress notes).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other care team members.
- Facilitate transfer of communication skills to daily life, school, or work settings.
- Participate in continuing education to maintain best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
