Requirements

• Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state license

Core Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing function.
• Diagnose type and severity of communication and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provide direct therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive language, and cognitive-communication skills.
• Evaluate and treat dysphagia; implement and train safe-swallowing strategies.
• Recommend, implement, and provide training for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families/caregivers on strategies, home exercises, and carryover techniques.
• Monitor, document, and update patient progress; modify treatment plans based on outcomes.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, therapists, educators) to coordinate care.
• Facilitate application of communication skills in daily, educational, or vocational settings.
• Pursue ongoing professional development to remain current in evidence-based practice.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
