Rate: Travel: $1,827/35-hrs; Local: $1,799/35-hrs
Requirements
- Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state license
Core Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing function.
- Diagnose type and severity of communication and swallowing disorders using clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
- Provide direct therapy to address articulation, fluency, voice, receptive/expressive language, and cognitive-communication skills.
- Evaluate and treat dysphagia; implement and train safe-swallowing strategies.
- Recommend, implement, and provide training for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as appropriate.
- Educate patients and families/caregivers on strategies, home exercises, and carryover techniques.
- Monitor, document, and update patient progress; modify treatment plans based on outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (physicians, therapists, educators) to coordinate care.
- Facilitate application of communication skills in daily, educational, or vocational settings.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to remain current in evidence-based practice.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
