Service: Orthopedic trauma coverage (locum tenens; supplemental)
Assignment Details
- Coverage period: ASAP – ongoing
- Coverage type: Call only
- Call schedule: 24-hour shifts, 7–10 shifts per month
- Patient census: average hospital census 230–250
- Practice size/support: 8 orthopedists, 8 APPs, OR nursing staff
- Onsite services: lab, pharmacy, medical imaging
- EMR: Cerner
- Provider will cover two facilities
Responsibilities
- Provide orthopedic trauma coverage and manage same-day add-on cases
- Respond to trauma and inpatient orthopedic consults while on call
Compensation/Logistics
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
Requirements
- Active Iowa and/or Illinois medical license, or participation in IMLC
- Board certified in Orthopedics
- Fellowship trained in Orthopedics (trauma fellowship preferred)
- Willingness to work at both Davenport, IA and Silvis, IL locations
- Clean professional/disciplinary record
- NPDB report required
