Seeking a board-certified Pediatric Anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage in Tucson, AZ to supplement outpatient pediatric surgical services across two facilities. Coverage begins May 4, 2026 and will continue on an ongoing basis. Clinical duties include direct patient care and beeper call with a 30-minute response expectation; specific shift and call schedules to be determined. Admissions are required.
Clinical responsibilities:
- General anesthesia for pediatric and neonatal patients
- Spinal and regional anesthesia for surgical cases, including neurosurgery (cranial and spine)
- Transforaminal lumbar and cervical procedures with x‑ray–guided block performance
- Placement of central lines, arterial lines, and PA catheters
- Supervision of CRNAs
Logistics and systems:
- EMR: Epic
- Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available
- Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided
Required credentials:
- Active Arizona medical license
- Board certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Pediatric fellowship completed
