Requirements
- DMD or DDS from an ADA-accredited institution
- Completed accredited pediatric dental residency
- Active, unrestricted dental license in any U.S. state or territory
- BLS (AHA) certification
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical exams, radiographs, diagnostic models, and other assessments to evaluate pediatric dental health
- Provide preventive services: fluoride treatments, sealants, silver diamine fluoride, and space maintenance
- Deliver restorative and urgent care, including local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, behavior management, extractions, pulpal therapy, and treatment of dental trauma
- Use age-appropriate behavior management techniques to reduce anxiety and facilitate treatment
- Educate patients and families on oral hygiene, diet, and preventive care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary providers and obtain consults when indicated
- Accurately document care in compliance with clinic policy and CMS regulations
- Follow all operational, legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements to maintain quality and patient safety
