Requirements:
- Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from an ADA-accredited institution.
- Have completed a post graduate pediatric dental residency program from an accredited pediatric dental residency program.
- Active and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in any State or U.S. territory
- BLS (AHA)
Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical examinations, radiographs, diagnostic models, and other tests to evaluate patient dental health.
- Implement fluoridation activities, sealants, silver diamine fluoride, and space maintenance to prevent dental issues.
- Provide routine and complex restorative dental care, including the use of local anesthetics, nitrous oxide, and behavior management techniques.
- Address dental trauma, pain management, extractions, and perform pulpal therapy as needed.
- Teach children and their families about proper oral hygiene, dietary habits, and overall health practices to prevent dental problems.
- Use child-friendly techniques to manage anxiety and fear during dental procedures.
- Work alongside other healthcare professionals in providing holistic patient care, including obtaining consultative services for specialized needs.
- Accurately document patient care in accordance with clinic policies and CMS regulations.
- Adhere to all operational and regulatory requirements, ensuring high-quality service and patient satisfaction.
