Detroit is one of the great American comeback stories a city redefining itself through innovation, culture, and an unmistakable sense of pride. The metro area offers excellent suburban communities with strong schools, generous square footage for the dollar, and a lower cost of living compared to most major academic medical markets. With easy access to the Great Lakes, Canada, and a robust international airport, Detroit delivers both quality of life and geographic convenience in a way that quietly surprises most newcomers.
