The Opportunity

Abrazo Medical Group - Biltmore Cardiology is seeking a fellowship-trained interventional cardiologist to join its established cardiovascular team in Phoenixs West Valley.

Serving the Phoenix region since 1994, Biltmore Cardiology offers comprehensive cardiovascular care across General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Structural Heart, and Cardiothoracic Surgery.

This position combines hospital-based procedures and inpatient coverage at Abrazo West Campus with outpatient practice in Buckeye and the surrounding West Valley. The physician will benefit from an established referral base, dedicated cath lab access, and broad subspecialty collaboration.

Experienced physicians and qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Practice Highlights

  • Broad interventional cardiology scope, excluding structural heart procedures
  • Three weeks per month focused on outpatient clinic and procedures; one week dedicated to inpatient coverage at Abrazo West
  • Hospital call, including applicable weekends, shared among four interventional cardiologists
  • Monday-Friday schedule outside hospital coverage weeks, plus one weekday of telephone practice call during outpatient weeks
  • Two cath labs and one hybrid OR with established PCI volume
  • Approximately 20 procedures per week; individual annual PCI volume may exceed 200 cases
  • Approximately 20-25 patients per clinic day
  • Established STEMI program with advanced cardiovascular imaging and diagnostics
  • Collaboration with General Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Structural Heart, and Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Dedicated MA, cath lab, scheduling, hospital, and service-line support
  • Optional participation in fellowship education, Grand Rounds, journal clubs, multidisciplinary discussions, quality initiatives, and research
  • EMR: Athena in the clinic and Cerner in the hospital

Candidate Qualifications

  • MD or DO with completed Interventional Cardiology fellowship
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
  • Eligible for Arizona medical licensure
  • Comfortable with inpatient, outpatient, procedural, and call responsibilities
  • New graduates and experienced physicians will be considered

This full-time employed opportunity through Tenet Physician Resources includes a competitive 12-month salary guarantee with productivity upside, transitioning to a wRVU-based model in year two.
