Job Description
Carondelet Medical Group, a leading provider of cardiac care in Southern Arizona, is actively recruiting a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join our well-established and highly respected practice in Tucson, Arizona.
This is a full-time, employed opportunity with a physician-driven team committed to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.
Position Highlights:
- Established, collaborative team of physicians and advanced practice providers
- Typical work week schedule - 35-45 hours during clinic week
- Call frequency: Transitioning to a Q4 rotation for hospital call
- NP coverage to help with hospital rounding
- Census: Clinic = 24-30 | Hospital = 10-25
- Practice supported by Carondelets extensive hospital network and infrastructure
- Procedural capabilities: coronary angiography and PCI
- Advanced technology available: laser atherectomy, rotational atherectomy, orbital atherectomy, and impella support
- ECMO support and Onsite CT Surgery Backup
- High-Volume Cath Lab: Advanced facility specializing in high-risk PCI and complex coronary interventions. Our interventionalists get to 300-400 procedures in a year
- Complex Revascularization: Full suite of atherectomy technologies, including Laser, Rotational, Intravascular lithotripsy and Orbital atherectomy.
- Structural & CT surgery Support: On-site structural cardiology program and comprehensive CT Surgery support.
- Fellowship Integration: Active interventional cardiology program with direct opportunities for fellow mentorship and collaboration.
- Participation in research trials: Several ongoing research trials are available. Opportunity to participate in clinical trials
- Dedicated cardiogenic shock program acting as a primary referral hub for the region.
- Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS): Full proficiency and on-site management of Impella, Tandem and ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation). Full ICU support for complex cardiac care with dedicated nursing staff to manage these complex cardiac patients
Candidate Requirements:
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
- Arizona medical license or eligibility to obtain one
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills, and a passion for excellent patient care
