Valley Baptist Physician Network is expanding its orthopedic program and seeking a fellowship-trained Hip & Joint Surgeon to join an established, multi-specialty group in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley. You'll operate within a 586-bed Level II Trauma Center equipped with cutting-edge surgical technology including da Vinci robotic systems, Brainlab computer navigation, and an AIRO mobile intraoperative CT bringing capabilities to South Texas that are rare in markets this size. A dedicated Ortho/Trauma floor, an on-site Ortho Trauma provider for VBMC coverage, and an MOB connected directly to the hospital OR mean your time goes to patients, not logistics. This is a high-impact opportunity in a fast-growing region where your skills will genuinely shape the standard of orthopedic care.
Position Highlights
- Hip & joint orthopedic surgery with fellowship training or extensive experience preferred
- Flexible schedule: 2-3 days per week split between clinic and OR block time
- Clinic hours Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- 70/30 inpatient/outpatient case mix
- Estimated 3-5 call days per month, inclusive of general ortho call
- Dedicated Ortho/Trauma floor at Valley Baptist Medical Center - Harlingen
- Ortho Trauma provider on staff, providing VBMC coverage
- Office located in the Medical Office Building with walking-distance access to the hospital OR
- Potential for privileges at sister facility in Brownsville

Candidate Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training in Hip & Joint reconstruction preferred; extensive clinical experience considered
- Trauma Certification a plus
