Position Highlights

  • Inpatient OMM consultation role serving multiple units: general pediatrics, newborn, NICU, PICU, and rehabilitation
  • Provide bedside OMM evaluations and treatments for patients referred by hospitalist, intensivist, surgical, and subspecialty teams
  • Address a broad scope of conditions including GI disorders, feeding difficulties, neuromuscular conditions, pain management, respiratory disorders, and post-surgical recovery
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and case conferences as part of an integrated care model
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of inpatient OMM protocols and referral pathways
  • Opportunities for academic involvement including teaching residents, medical students, and staff on OMM indications and techniques
  • Support for quality improvement, research, and leadership in pediatric OMM

Candidate Requirements

  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or Medical Doctor (MD) from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an AOA- or ACGME-accredited residency in Pediatrics, Family Medicine, or NMM/ONMM
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in relevant specialty
  • Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the state of Michigan
  • Demonstrated proficiency in OMM with pediatric inpatient populations
  • DEA, BLS, and ACLS certification, or willingness to obtain
  • Fellowship or advanced training in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine or Pediatric OMM preferred
  • Experience in acute care or inpatient pediatric settings preferred
