Urgent Care Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a flexible and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a high-volume Urgent Care practice serving the Martinsburg, West Virginia area. This position is ideal for advanced practice providers who enjoy a fast-paced environment and are able to accommodate a rotating schedule.

The Urgent Care PA or NP will provide comprehensive care for patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries. The schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week, rotating to meet clinic needs. Candidates must have open availability, including weekends and holidays.

The clinic operates 7 days per week from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and is closed only on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent and episodic conditions across the lifespan
• Perform minor procedures and manage acute injuries and illnesses
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation
• Adhere to clinical protocols and quality standards

 

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program with a Master’s Degree in Nursing
• National certification through a recognized APRN certification body
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of West Virginia
• American Heart Association certifications required:
• BLS
• ACLS
• ATLS
