Job Description
Abrazo West Campus is seeking a qualified physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join our emergency department team in Goodyear, Arizona. The advanced practice clinician will deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in collaboration with board-certified emergency medicine physicians and an interdisciplinary clinical team. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, team-oriented, and comfortable practicing in a fast-paced EM environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting to the ED
- Perform focused histories and physical examinations
- Order, interpret, and document diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, EKGs, etc.)
- Develop and implement treatment plans for a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries
- Perform procedures within scope of practice and demonstrated competency
- Collaborate with attending physicians, nursing staff, and consultants to ensure optimal patient care
- Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental education as required
- Comply with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
- Current Arizona state licensure or eligibility
- National certification (NCCPA for PAs or AANP/ANCC for NPs)
- DEA license
- ACLS and PALS required
- EM experience preferred (new graduates with strong clinical training may be considered)
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Schedule and Work Environment
- Level I ED setting with 24/7 coverage
- Shift times: 6a-6p, 10a-10p, 6p-6a
- High-acuity, fast-paced environment with a collaborative care model
- Abrazo West serves as a teaching facility for Midwestern University
