PRACTICE DESCRIPTION
Margaret Theodore, M.D. P.A., is an independent internal medicine practice owned by Dr.
Margaret Theodore who has been practicing medicine continually since July 1979.


PRACTICE HISTORY AND CULTURE
The practice has been well established in Tampa, Florida at the same location for 47 years. The
practice has had the privilege of caring for multiple generations of patients, often within the
same families. Practice culture revolves around focusing on individualized, customized delivery
of medical care to each patient. Its goal is to continually strive to provide preventive care, timely acute care, as well as chronic care management to each patient in a compassionate, competent manner.


POSITION DESCRIPTION
Primary Care Physician with a long-term goal of practicing medicine in a small independent
practice.
● Full time, outpatient care, office base with telephone, video visits incorporated
● No hospital admission or inpatient rounds. However, communication with hospitalists to
provide pertinent clinical information that may be useful under the circumstances
● Patient load and scheduling pattern: must be logical and functional for an independent
practice. Patient load and scheduling will be determined and implemented after
discussion with mindful consideration for maintaining balance between the quality of life
for the physician and staff and the essence of our dedication to the patients.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The physician seeking this position will embrace the emphasis we place on thorough and long-
term care of all patients. The physician will have the autonomy to practice comprehensive
primary care and be supported by a clinical and administrative team that prioritizes timely
access, competent, and compassionate care while delivering a sustained and fulfilling
relationship with patients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will provide comprehensive primary care across the full spectrum of internal
medicine supported by a stable team and established workflows.
● Managing patients’ general medical needs with a focus on continuity and preventive care
● Developing and monitoring treatment plans
● Reviewing labs, diagnostic studies, and specialist reports
● Managing medication refills and referrals
● Providing follow-up care for acute illnesses via phone or video when appropriate
● Delivering routine and preventive care services
● Maintaining through and timely EHR documentation
● Contributing to a collaborative, patient-centered practice culture focused on trust,
access, and satisfaction.


QUALIFICATIONS
● Medical degree (MD or DO).
● Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
● Authorization to work in the United States
● Active Florida medical license
● DEA license (active or eligible)

SALARY AND BENEFITS
● Salary range: $220,000-$270,000 (annual), commensurate with experience and
qualifications
● Three (3) weeks of paid vacation, with flexibility around scheduling

● No hospital rounds or impatient responsibilities
● Predictable weekday schedule with one dedicated telemedicine day

About Dr. Margaret Theodore, MD Internal Medicine

Dr. Theodore has delivered dedicated, individualized and readily accessible care for patients 16 years old and over, since 1979. She has had extensive experience in the care of elderly patients, and relates well to patients of all ages. Dr. Theodore sees all patients herself and is available to them via phone when the office is closed. Although she delegates hospital admission to certain hospitalist groups, she maintains close contact with the patients and the admitting physicians during that stressful process, before, during and after hospitalization. Appointments are tailored and scheduled according to the patients needs, taking care to give priority to more urgent clinical problems.
