Position Overview

• Patient Volume: 9125 Annual ED volume
• Coverage Model:
  • 24-hour physician coverage
    • 1 Physician Day 6am - 6pm
    • 1 Physician Night 6pm - 6am
    • 1 APP 10am - 9pm
• Number of Beds: 8-bed micro hospital
• Acuity: Moderate - anything needing higher level of care will be transferred to Highland
• EMR: EPIC
• Procedures: Yes
• Admissions/Transfers: Go to sister site, CHRISTUS Highland EM
• Moonlighting: Yes, 3rd year EM Residents

Qualifications

• Education: EM Residency trained, or IM/FM with EM experience
• Licensure: LA or willing to obtain LA state license
• Board Certification: ABEM, ABIM and ABFM (with EM Experience)
• Skills & Procedures: Yes
