Locum Tenens Rheumatologist — Outpatient Adult Practice (Portland, OR)

Join a busy outpatient rheumatology practice in Portland, OR, as a locum tenens physician providing supplemental clinical coverage beginning May 1, 2026 (ongoing). Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., 4–5 days per week, 1–2 weeks per month. Adult patient panel with 12–16 patients per day (1–2 per hour); case mix ~50% arthritis and 50% autoimmune disease. Duties include outpatient evaluation and management and administration of intravenous therapy. The practice uses Epic and requires hospital privileges.

Practice resources: six physicians, 4 MAs, 4 LPNs, 5 schedulers; 2 exam rooms and 20 infusion rooms; on-site X‑ray and lab. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.

Requirements: active Oregon medical license, BC/BE in Rheumatology, DEA registration, BLS certification, and local or drive-in candidates are highly preferred.
