Schedule: 13.5-hour shifts (6:00 am–7:30 pm or 8:00 am–9:30 pm) with a 30-minute unpaid lunch

Overview
Seeking an experienced CRNA to provide medically directed anesthesia care at Level I adult and pediatric academic trauma centers. This role supports high-volume surgical services with established CRNA teams and full subspecialty backup.

Clinical Scope

  • Patient population: Adults and pediatrics
  • Volume: Approximately 35 cases per day
  • Case mix: General anesthesia across Neuro/spine, Orthopedics, Oncology, ENT, GYN, Urology, Pediatric GI, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Dental; includes interventional radiology and non-OR anesthesia
  • Exclusions: No OB, cardiac, or burn cases

Facility & Resources

  • Adult ORs: 21 operating rooms
  • Pediatric: 8 operating suites and 2 cath labs
  • Level I academic trauma centers with full surgical subspecialty support (Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, Robotics, Pediatric subspecialties)
  • EMR: Epic
  • Diagnostic/Procedure Support: IR, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, endoscopy/procedural suites
  • Reason for coverage: Supplemental

Credentials & Compliance

  • Hospital privileges required; credentialing timeline ~60–90 days
  • Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance provided

Required Qualifications

  • Active South Carolina nursing license (or well in process)
  • CRNA certification and minimum 3 years of anesthesia experience, including at least 1 year pediatric experience
  • BLS and ACLS
  • DEA as required by facility
  • Must live >60 miles from facility
  • Flexibility to work adult and pediatric locations
  • Proficiency with Epic

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective anesthesia care across ORs and procedural areas for adult and pediatric patients
  • Manage high-volume case load within assigned specialties
  • Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
  • Complete accurate documentation in Epic
