Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Prior experience in CVU, telemetry, ICU, or critical care preferred
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills
• Proficiency with cardiovascular monitoring, cardiac rhythms, and related procedures
• Ability to respond effectively in high-acuity and emergency situations

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to cardiovascular unit patients, including pre- and post-procedure monitoring
• Continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and patient responses
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Provide patient and family education on cardiovascular conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Document care thoroughly and timely in the electronic health record
• Adhere to CVU policies, protocols, and safety standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
